Exhibition Exposition
We are thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with SaveArtSpace, the non-profit organization behind the CryptoPunk billboards in Miami and NYC & co-founded by Justin Aversano, to bring artworks from Sevens exhibitions to physical displays in New York City!
We will be personally curating and selecting existing grantees’ works from the exhibitions Sevens Genesis Grant, Empowered by Paris: Empowered Women Empower Women, Distorted Reality, and Overcame as well as new artworks from Decentralized to be displayed around the city during the months of October and November which will coincide with the NFT.NYC conference.
Additionally, Playboy’s The Art of Gender and Sexuality — curated by some incredible creatives @ix_shells, @shantell_martin, @pussyrrriot, @annespalter, and Playboy themselves — will be on display surrounding the conference (more info to come).
Timelines
- Overcame is a lens-based exhibition curated by highly regarded and talented photographers and is aiming to open in around a week!
- The submission deadline for Decentralize will be extended one more week until September 14th before curating and opening the exhibition. We invite you to submit your work here!
- Sevens plans to place artworks up in NYC public spaces by the third week of October and will stay displayed for a month at the minimum. We will reach out to artists and ask prior.
Collecting Artworks on Sevens
There are still unsold art pieces in our galleries. We invite everyone to browse and encourage collectors to support these artists! Many are new entrants to NFTs and come from disadvantaged backgrounds and countries. There have been many accounts of peoples’ lives changing in a grand and positive way, and you may make an extraordinary impact on someone’s life.
Social Work
We are also in discussions to help facilitate education and awareness around tokenizing digital artworks through in-person mentorship and investing in local communities in New York. We hope to have more developments about this soon!
